Very cool pics thanks. They really do confirm that it's pretty much a stock 4Runner too. :jester: :deadhorse

A new video interviewing Ivan came up on You tube yesterday. He says it's stock!Maybe the drivetrain?

How much stock stuff do you think they should test in a Baja race? Carpet, headliner, electric windows, door panels, back seats, rear hatch, etc..?
The stock shocks would be dead in less than 10 miles, so they replaced those with a single shock (per corner) that could go the distance.
The drivetrain and body are the only things that can really be tested. It looks like they left in the sway bar, most of the dashboard, steering wheel, and shifting system.
It also looks like they added at least one cooler. Maybe for tranny or power steering.
The best info would be to find out what the 4Runner would need to make it ready for another race. In the stock classes, they almost always have to replace the suspension bushings and ball joints.

The paint. :flipoff: :jester:
:rotflmao::rotflmao::rotflmao:
Aftermarket paint would make all the difference, and would cost another $5k.:jester:

That 4Runner must be really tall. In the video with Ivan standing next to it, the top of the front fender sits right at his upper arm and Ivan’s a real tall guy!

Edit: link removed - it pointed to the wrong spot. See next post, by Joel, for correct link.
Good shots inside cockpit. That looks like an E-brake, on the passenger side.
Intresting mount for the factory shifter.
It looks like the Codog dashpanel rotates out for pit crew usage.

I love the handles for the passenger (maybe something you can add to the blazer Joel :jester:).
Does the 5th Gen have a up/down sequential shifter now or was it a special for the race truck? That would be so cool for offroad fast driving. The gated shifter sucks when going fast.

Looks like they beefed up the rear LCA mount - almost looks like an All Pro bolt on skid.

They did add a rear control arm skid, and it survived the Baja too.
I also noticed that they did leave in the front and rear door panels, handles, switches. The radio is still in the dash, I wonder if they left the speakers in the doors?:guitar:

Now, what needs to be done to prep it for the next race, and is it for sale?:)

I wonder what size tires they use, how much lift and what needed to be chopped of from inner fender? Also fender wells look "enlarged", or not??
