Man and my local dealer will be getting a Trail Edition loaded next week. I better not drive by the lot.....I might get the itch to trade (but I love my 03).

Happy holidays to all.

they ran it with no suspension mods? thats insane. when Honda did a similar publicity thing with Ridgeline (i know i know its not the same) they gave it to King to do it up. Its rare to see stock suspension on the Baja on anything. WOW. I guess I am starting to save for the mid-cycle v8 refresh now :-)

Yes they did suspension mods - didn't you see the videos showing the shocks and the Bilstein rep talking about dialling them in?

They also added longer rear shocks with new mounts that extend up into the rear of the cab.

These new 4Runners are really growing on me. I'll probably keep my 4runner a while, maybe once I hit 100k I'll think about a new one.

ok yeah it wasn't clear for me from the videos. i did see the longer mount but i thought it could be just regular shock pushed down like with a spacer.

Did you watch the build video? Even though they keep mentioning stock this and stock that....they don't mention anything about stock suspension and that is far from stock suspension!! Bilsteins,Eibach and OME, I believe.
Tires are 365-by-12.50-by-17 General Grabbers mounted on 17-by-8-inch Fuel forged alloy wheels. The tires must be special made because General doesn't even list that size anywhere that I can find.

Here is a new Baja video just released.. Enter Sandman!!:guitar:

That statement is a mistruth.
He doesn't say all suspension parts.
From they're own press release at the LA auto show
"Aftermarket bits include 365-by-12.50-by-17 General Grabber tires mounted on 17-by-8-inch Fuel forged alloy wheels. Bilstein racing dampers have been fitted along with Eibach coil-overs in front and Old Man Emu coil springs in back. Auxiliary coolers for the transmission and power steering were added, and no racy Toyota would be complete without a TRD exhaust and cold air intake."

Most people consider the shocks and springs as part of the suspension. I take it you don't.You can see the Bilstein's with remote reservoir at 3:12 of the video on post #4.Believe me ,that is not on the option sheet when you buy a 4runner.
Suspension is......
