Yep, had long discussions with hese guys on ih8mud. Interesting technology, but I don't like the wiring that needs to be done. Last I checked they were very expensive, but that may have changed in the mean time. Not sure if they changed some design points, as I was not convinced that the unit will withstand extreme operating conditions at the time.

As I said it was probably more than a year ago, so maybe they fixed things in the mean time.

I had a long conversation with a rep at that company, they make a really nice unit. But it is $$$, I think the 150amp model was in the high two's but dont quote me.

The advantage of their unit is that it draws about half a miliamp at rest where the sure power one does about 10-15 milliamps. I've never measured the hellroaring unit. Neither have a huge draw but that is something to consider.

Anyways If your interested call them up, they are easy to talk to and they will get into the nitty gritty on how it works and why theirs is the best.

Instead of repeating myself you guys can just read here.

Unfortunately they seem to have taken down a lot of the real tech specs that used to be on their site, so can't make a comment on it anymore. No longer states the switch power draw at max current, etc. They say they added current limit, etc, but I dunno.

ANyway if somebody is interested phone them and see what they say these days, and how much.
