Cobra 75 wxst problem

I recently installed a Cobra 75 wxst cb in my truck. the problem is i can only barely hear anything with the volume turned all the way to max and my ear directly next to the speaker on the handset. i can't even hear any static with the squelch turned all the way down. has anyone else had this problem. any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I have Cobra 75 and it works fine. Replace it under the warranty.

Yup happened to me - defective speaker. Send it back to Cobra...make sure to tell them that it is still under warranty (if it is) or they will attempt to charge you.

x3...also I wasn't overly happy with the speaker on the handheld. An inexpensive $20-$30 aftermarket speaker helped a lot with qaulity of sound.
