Alot of "firsts": 1st to accept the challenge and take the risk, find the market and design around all the requirements. 1st 100% bolt-on and XREAS compatible (and tout the benefits)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-->HQ sliders are built around 3x4 rectangular stock. It is the most resistant to warping, bending as well as being a strong foundation for the slider. They are built for a lifetime of abuse; whether you go heavy with mods or not.

-->The 3x4 rail runs the length of the 4Runner body pinch weld. It creates a flat surface for this very strong part of the body to rest on if the slider or body flexed. (see pic above)

-->HQ 4th gen sliders are custom made exactly as Ken intended for the 4th gen. It shares no measurement with HQ Land Cruiser sliders. They are specifically designed for the 4th gen in every regard.

-->Every connection of HQ's slider is triangulated, C-section welded (the outrigger supports) or boxed.

-->Interlocking, triangulated and lasercut supports with 50,000lb tensile strength U-bolts and all hardware.

-->Outrigger round tube is DOM tubing--30% harder than regular tubing to better resist dents and gouges.

-->Outrigger supports are lasercut for perfect fit and geometry. They also hold a greater surface area than traditional supports for maximum strength and reinforcement of the round bar.

-->Shot-peen hardened surface used to create an aggressive surface area for maximum bonding of...
-->2 stage powdercoat for maximum durability and finish

-->These can be easily touched up after rockrash

-->HQ sliders can be Hi-lifted, will support the weight of the truck

-->HQ sliders can be used as a step
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
*subjectively(my opinion), weight is not noticable at all. They are approx. 50lbs each. So, if driving with your girlfriend bogs your truck down than you might reconsider. Otherwise, imo, non-issue.

I love my Hanna sliders!! They have saved my butt on a few occasions now and have come in handy for lifted the 4RUnner as well. Below are the pics of Pismo where I popped a bead and had to fix the tire.

Do you have any good pictures showing how the sliders attach to the frame. I am likely going to buy some of Ken's sliders later this month. I talked to Ken on Friday and he mentioned that in some cases some grinding (of weld beads) is required to make the mounting brackets fit. Did you have to do any grinding?

Nope no grinding was required on either of our 4Runners. Unfortunately I dont have any good pictures handy of how the sliders attach. Maybe ask Ken he might have.

I really love my sliders, and they have worked well for me on a number of occasions already.

BTW to make it easy here is the URL to Ken's site
http://www.hannaquality.com/

The sliders are not shown on his site, but just contact him directly.

Not post padding, but I have received a number of queries on these.

Good luck getting Hanna Quality to deliver sliders. All I have gotten are broken promises.

I am sorry for your experience. I ordered, by email, some new u-bolts from Ken and he mailed them even before I paid. This was only a few weeks ago.

In the interest of fairness to Hanna Quality and as a counterwieght to all of my frustrated whining  here is an update:

Today, August 29th, the sliders are in the back of my 4Runner waiting to be attached. Ken kept his promise to ship them out yesterday.

From my recent experience here are some important things to remember:

Ken Hanna's shop is not a full time business, but if you've seen the quality of his product you will see that it is a full-time passion of his.

Ken is not there to answer phones and e-mails full time. If you want his product you'll be the one to be diligent about communications.

Most anything you may order is made to order and unplanned delays should be factored in and accepted.

Use PayPal if you can. I had long delays due to a lost check.

The FedEx Freight shipping is pretty fast.

Just saw a Hanna slider feature in 4WD Owner mag, so they are still in production. Definitely well worth a call anyway if you are in the market for sliders. I loved mine, but had to change since I got the bodylift :mecry:

I saw the ad too. Hope he has a business plan to deliver product in a timely manner. 90+ days is going to drive customers away.

I don't know his latest business status, but I wasn't sure if he made these anymore. Seems like he still does. Guess folks should check on delivery schedule with him first.

I have found that small fab shops (like most we deal with) have delivery schedule issues for a lot of the time, due to the fact that they can't afford to carry ahuge inevtory and need to make products to order, with problamatic production scheduling.

I had to wait for extended times for every single product on the 4RUnner, that is not produced in mass quantities, to date, which kind of makes me think things are par for the course sometimes. Or maybe I'm just unlucky  I think for higher volume product things are quicker as shops do carry some stock (FJC parts come to mind), but even then I see boards scattered with folks complaining about long wait times from tiime to time anyway.

I love my HQ sliders. Worth a 90 day wait in my humble opinion. They truly are a work of art. :cool1:

I think within a short time, Hanna will be expanding a bit and bringing in a real class act to help w/ customer service and other aspects. Stay tuned!

I'll try to post up info if I hear about it.

I know this is an old thread but I just had to toss in my 2 cents ... I bought a set of sliders from Hanna in Dec. He was very responsive via e-mail, shipped quickly and I think they came within 2 weeks. The product is excellent. Fit and finish are 1st class and they went on with no problem. I know others may have had a different experience but for me it was a very smooth, quick transaction. Thanks, Ken! :bigok:

That would be good as he has some great one-offs for Land Cruisers. Just imagine if he made front and rear bumpers for 4Runners...
