Once after the off roading with my 07 Limited 4 Runner, the coolant level drops down crasy. I bought new Super Long Life coolant for the addon, but it drops down to the bottom within 4 days. I drive the truck to work in the city everyday and check no leaking on my own.

Will you give some suggestion before I send it into the dealership.

Thanks

DO a visual inspection of the radiator and hoses to see where you are loosing coolant. AT least you will know what is leaking. Maybe a hose was loose or cracked, radiator cap or maybe a rock/branch found it's way to the radiator and made a small hole.

The coolant should leave a pink/red clump/spots around the area it is leaking.

Given it is new you should get it fixed under warranty unless a rock or branch took out the radiator, in which case it will cost you some to get it fixed.

where are you checking the level from?
The overflow bottle will empty out or fill depending on if the engine is warm or cold.

I did check around the truck under the hook, on the ground after the off-roading. There is no wherelse leak stain I can find on the ground, or the hose under the hook.

The only pink splash I found was around the Radiator cap which is closed to the coolant bottle, it looks like a splash from the radiator opener.
I could feel that something wrong when I was off-roading coz the AC stop working for a while when I was crossing a tough road. I shut AC off and turned AC on after 20 mins still working.

I am thinking too much pressure in the coolant system burst the coolant out of the radiator cap when I was off-roading. The burst may hurt the seal of the radiator cap so that it will leak the coolant steam for ever when I am driving. Am I right? I assume this one should be under the new truck warranty.

BTW, I do check the cooland level when the engine is hot and cold, it shows me same thing, empty coolant reservoir.

IF you chacked all the hoses, radiator end caps, core, etc and can't see anything it might be better to just take it to the dealer. It should be covered under warranty.

If you have a faulty radiator cap there should be quite a bit of gummed up pink/red goo around it. I don't think offroading had anything to do with it per se. Sounds more like something was faulty and just mucked up when put under a bit of stress.

Did the truck overheat at any point in time?

Agree with take it to the dealer. If you're losing that much coolant and there's no visible signs of leakage then all I can think of is a blown HG and you're buring it all off. There doesn't happen to be a smoke screen following you around, is there?

What is the "blown HG"?

The funny thing is the temperature is always all right so far. I have scheduled the check with dealer this week. Thanks for the reply.

HG= head gasket

If you have a blown head gasket then the coolant can leak from the water sleeves into the combustion chambers. This results in a bunch of white smoke out the tail pipe if it's a big leak. Do you notice any oil in the coolant? That's another sign of a blown HG.

Not the thing I am aware of, coz my coolant reservoir is almost empty since then. I can see the bottom pink coolant without other oil clearly in the coolant reservoir . I don't remember seeing any smoke during the off-roading either. It may not be that serious I hope.
