air bag light

Hi,
I'm fixing a wrecked 2007 tacoma 4wd. I put in a new clock spring and the airbag symbol in the dash goes out but the red "airbag" light next to the radio stays on. The passenger airbag itself "clicks" when I turn the ignition on. Any ideas? Thanks in advance from upstate NY.

First off if there is any kind of problem with the airbags then Mike is right. DO NOT MESS with them. If you saw the way the dealerships package replacements you would understand (it's a small bomb, just to clarify).

But to answer some of your questions. On the Taco the "Airbag" light below the radio is always on. If you sit in the passenger seat it will light up an "ON" below that so you know it's working when you have a passenger, that is if there is a key hole, just to the right of the light, to turn it off for when there is a child seat up front.
