How do I figure out if I have the larger brakes/Calipers on my SR5

I was searching some posts and I read that some SR5's came with the larger brake/caliper setup. How to I figure out which ones I have on my 2003 SR5?

I have not heard of any SR5s that came with the larger calipers and rotors on the front. You can take of the wheel and measure your front rotor.

If it is 12.6" you have the smaller brakes and can use 16" wheels. If it is 13.3" it is the larger brakes and you have to use 17" wheels or trim the caliper to fit 16" wheels. FOlks in Oz have trimmed their caipers, but I havenot seen anybody in the US do it.

No, but I'm thinking of getting some.

You could stop by a tire shop, and see if they will test fit a 16" wheel. If it fits, you are good-to-go, and you have the standard brakes. If it does not fit,......

If you have some way of measuring the disk, you could do that, while the tire shop has your wheel off.
