power steering groaning on cold start

It's worse when you steer it and only when it's real cold on start, like 25 degrees today.

it sounds a little like other cars I've had when the steering fluid gets low but it's not low.

is it normal? I've only had my 4Runner since march so I haven't had it in real cold weather yet.

Check the serpantine belt. I had whisteling sound at start up, changed the belt under the warrnty.

but the warranty comment confuses me. I've never had a vehicle with a factory warranty before this one. I bought the platinum care dealio from the dealer when I bought my 4Runner used back in March. I never would have thought a belt could be replaced under warranty. they replaced your serpantine belt for free?

Yes, under the normal warranty.
