ARB & AllPro make winch bumpers. The ARB has full hoops so consider if you want that full protection or not. AllPro is a more minimal design-if that's the way you are thinking.
Demello Offroad (demellooffroad.com) makes a nice winch bumper as well. It is a clean design.

I think fabfour makes one too... there are quite a few. maybe some of our other FJC owners can chime in.

as for hydraulic winch, search for "capstan winch" here as one of our 4Runner owners rigged up and detailed a nice writeup on doing this.

electric is pretty straightforward
good luck and post a pic- i really like the TT edition

If you don't winch that often electric will probably be simpler and easier to fit and use.

There are a number of winch bumpers now for the FJC, a few has already been mentioned. Here is list of winch bumper offers from more prominent folsk

ARB
Allpro
Demello (plate and pre runner tube style)
Warn
Asfir (aluminum)
Bent Up
Expedition One
Fab Fours
Lucrum (in stock bumper winch mount)
Road Armor

A major thing I would recommend for a winch bumper is to make sure you get one that has mounts that go to the side of the frame rail and not just the front of the frame horns. This would avoid bending the "wings" on the frame horns if you have to do a heavy pull one day. No point in having a winch if you can't pull it's full weight on it.

Also will be good to get one with recovery points on it, so you can tie a shackle to the bumper.

From the list above you will see various styling, weight, prices and functionality. Pick the one that will work for you.

Both ARB and Allpro have very nice bumpers. The ARB one just has a bit more armor protection, and is a whole lot heavier than the Allpro one. But I think that Shrovkworks is going to make one for the FJC as well.:D

The capstan winch that I use is not for recovery. It is intended for light loads (less than 1500lbs) at high speeds. Also it is a custom winch and is not available on the retail market.

THe Hydraulic winch is a great winch. However it is not fast, and for best performance the ideal power steering pump would have an output of 1500psi and 3.5 GPM. This is obtainable with an aftermarket pump. for example a PSC pump. THe Toyota pump in the 4th gen 4runner is adequeate with a output of about 1200psi and 2.2GPM but I would consider that to be the minimum acceptable. The hydraulic winch is ideal for maximum reliability and long continuous pulls.

For most people an electric winch is the easier solution. They are comparitively fast and are reliable enough. Also most pulls for offroading are short and their short duty cycle is generally not an issue.

My buddy next door drives FJ with Warn bumpers. We wheeled amny trails together and all I can say its great bumper and he loves it. We have an FJ in our club with ARB bumper and it works great as well. I never saw All-Pro in person, but it looks nice to me. Recently my local dealer upgraded TrailTeam FJ with FabFours bumpers and after seeing them in person, I'd recomend to stay away. So my list will be:
ARB
Warn
All-Pro

One thing to consider. If you choose one of the heavier bumpers (ARB, Expedtion 1, Road Armor, etc..) you're front end will sag, not to mention the weight of the winch. If you go with the heavier bumpers look into new coilovers for the front. I've got a Demello.
