Great article in the latest issue Bulldog! :drink:
Any more details on lowering the swaybar by 3/4"? I'm replacing my stock rear shocks with Revteks (I have a Cornfed lift.) and will likely do this mod at the same time. Any pointers or other insight?
TIA

I'll start a thread this weekend with the details. I have not seen the actual article in the mag yet.
BTW if you have a good article you might consider sending it to them. They do require that the info is not published in another mag or the internet beforehand. I think a couple of tech and some trail reports might be good to increase the visibility of the 4th Gens and 120 site would be good.

I hope my copy is in the mail box when I get home tonight!! :D I always enjoy and anticipate my copy of 4wd Toyota owners magazine, as well as Toyota Tails. I've cancelled everything else. Can't wait to read your article Andries.

How 'bout the impetus, design, and production of the Shrockworks bumper?? That would be great publicity of all parties involved.

Great idea Pierre. Probably will need to pass that by Jim and Nick.
BTW I will need to move this thread to the off topic area, since it will not be tech.

Should I look for your rear suspension post this weekend in tech or OT? :confused1

The thread was getting a bit chatty???? Or do you want to keep the thread in tech?
The suspension part is tech, but the mag part is chat. The heading was about the mag part.
I will definitely post up in tech on the suspension.

I don't have a strong opinion either way. Just wanted to know where to look for your reply. Should we change the thread title to 4Runner rear suspension tweaks and put it back in Tech?
Either works for me -

Easiest might just be for me to start a new thread in tech. This thread might actually be a good one for ideas for people to publish tech/trail runs in mags.
I really like the 4wdtoyowner mag and would like to support them. I like that they focus on a variety of rigs and trails, not just hardcore stuff.
I met the mag guys at Pismo last year and they were pretty cool, they seemed open to ideas of making the mag better. I brought up the idea of milder trails and less hardcore wheelers, and they were pretty open to it, since 90% of wheeling is not super hardcore.

Me too....especially as they published the photo of my truck. (Thanks A!)

Finally got my copy. They sure do a good job of cleaning up my writing. I thought it will just be a one pager tech tidbit, but they made it a lot more.
The mag gets better with every issue. I love that pig with the Toy V8 and supercharger, James knows the guy pretty well.
Hehehe nice pic Mark :bigok:
You guys should send them some pics of your rides on trails. I'm thinking about doing a writeup with pics of a future run for them. Would be good to have a bunch of 4th Gens in the mag on a trail.

Thanks. I've it, but didn't read it yet, just looked through. I did mention that there is something there with silver 4Runner photos. Looks like that's what I need to read.

That's Andries (Bulldog's) Titanium 4Runner. Great article. I hope you read it soon, it's very helpful, as is Andries himself. He's got a wealth of knowledge that I've only seen in some of our Master Techs here at Findlay Toyota. He is definitely THE man! You're definitely in the right place for info, tech know how and generally cool people for our 4th gen 4Runners and other 120 vehicles!
