So I found this company that uses donaldson air filters and has a swirl box like the kit guys were installing from an FJ, I'm going to email them for the size specs and I think I could make it work for our V8 trucks. They don't have a picture of them except on diesel pickups but I saw the comany was making them for Alba action motorsports for a polaris RZR and yamaha Rhinos so we should be able to make one work

I think Item number 10905 is what we'd want.

So what ya guys think?

Can't get a good feel of the filter design of the pix. Also can't find pix of the part you are looking at.

A filter that feeds from the fenderwell would be ideal in terms of preventing taking on water. Snorkel would be better though :D

The filter they are using is round like we run in our diesel trucks, I know that much for sure. From reading some other stuff on their site it sounds like we could make it work with the hole in the fenderwell pretty easy, I still want to contact them and see if they will send some pictures and dimensions. I can get donaldson air filters pretty cheap through our peterbilt and mac truck dealerships.
