My insurance lapsed for two months - when I changed residence. Now the insurance company (AAA) wants to inspect the truck before finalizing the papers. Should I swap back the stock wheels/tires - cant do much about the bumper or the lift.

Crap!

Hey Mark, IIRC Andries has CSAA, north Cal equivalent. They gave him no trouble and said even the mods. would be covered with depreciation. Why not PM him to confirm. Why would they care if you have big tires? They just want your premiums :deadhorse

Speak to your broker in regards to the mods. See what they have to say. Sort of have a hypothetical conversation, to say if you have offroad tires, etc, etc.

On mine it didn't increase the premiums, and I get some $$$ back for the mods if something happens. Although my broker used to run around in Jeeps, so he was familiar with offroad, and he makes lots of $$$$ from us.

Good luck.

Mark,
I have AAA and there has never been an issue. I don't think you should necessarily worry about it.

I was with Mercury before and they were also fine w/ mods and also said I could get $ back if something happens w/ proof of receipts.

Thanks for the replies. Just spoke to the broker and he said they just want to ensure there has been no damage to the vehicle during the elapse period. Seemed cool about the mods.
