Whats up guys,

Everytime I start to drive usually when its in 1st gear I hear this rattling noise coming from underneath the truck. So, yesterday I decided to slide under the truck and start tapping on the exhaust, I found that it could possibly be the catalytic converter. Im almost pretty sure it is.

Any ideas?? Could it be a bad catalytic converter??? Anykind of feedback would be really helpful.

HELP!

Thanks guys!

Cat heat shields coming loose is a pretty common thing on most any vehicle. If that's all it is you should be able to go to any exhaust shop and have them tack it back on with a welder in about 3 minutes.

I had a catalytic converter start rattling on me a few years back....

turned out that one half of the element inside had broken loose and rattled around. temporarily I had the loose stuff taken out so I could make it a couple weeks until I could afford a new one.

cheers!
