My VSC, Trac and trac off lights are on as well as my CEL.
The code it is throwing is P0345 - Camshaft position sensor.

Anyone had issues with this before? This si probably related to my recent "frolic" in some water, and I'm still trying to track down my starting issues (perhaps this sensor is the cause of my difficulties?)

Thanks for any input. Time to check the FSM for these sensors.

I should have mentioned this was on the coldest start since my dip in the water (-10C). Took over a dozen tries to get started.

After I pulled into my heated garage, I cleared the code and started it up, and it didn't re-throw the code . . .

dude, if i were you I would go to the dealer and just let them look at it. I mean, I did when i went swimming with my truck and by the sounds of it you went DEEPER and might have potentially more damage. All i had to replace was the lowest section of one of the ecu's, located in the outer wall of the pass. footwell...
My truck was doing some weird things....but yours is doing some weirder. id just bite the bullet and take her in... 0.02 & BEST OF LUCK

Hmmm sounds to me that you might still have a lot of moisture on some of your electrical connectors. Most electrical connectors are sealed on the engine and other critical components though. So it might just be the cold that is casuign some moisture to freeze up and cause issues.

Don't know if you have or are able to leave the truck in a warm garage for a couple of days to dry out completely. Might resolve a lot of the issues you are having.

Don't think I went deeper. I only got some water on the carpet after I was pulled out. Just enpough to make a mess out of things - nowhere close to ECU's. The water I was was quite muddy, and now there may be some dirt in a connector or something. I've not had any problems starting when the truck was warm - thanks to the weather, or a heated garage . . . It seems my issues are only when the truck is below freezing. . . . It has already spent more than a few days drying in my heated garage . . . My only hesitation to taking it in is that they are not likely to warranty stupidity :) If it is something simple like cleaning a connection or drying something out I'd rather do it than have a dealership charge me hundreds to do the same.

Dern electronics! I've been MUCH deeper with my '88 (to the top of the hood) and it barely gave me any problems . .

Thanks for the advice!:drink:

It's already been in my heated garage for a few days . . . . (I left it outside last night because I needed the space in the garage to work on another project). Maybe I should drive up on ramps to give it a different way to "drain". Monday I think I'll pull the starter and make sure everything in there is clear of crap.

My brother's LR3 had someone pressure wash the engine bay and it had various electrical issues pop up. We had to disconnect various plugs in the harness and dry it with a hairdryer to get the moisture out.

When you do that, please take some pictures to show how you do it.
I don't think that's been documented here yet.
