Any 2006 4Runners in Washington?
The crew at ARB-USA in Washington is looking for a 2006 4Runner to finish their "fitting" of the new ARB Deluxe Bullbar. Jim also mentioned in a previous email (found here) (http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=14212&perpage=15&highlight=ARB%20Bumper%20List&pagenumber=9) that they would povide the helpfull lender with their ARB Tacoma for the day if needed. I received the following email with the request just a little bit ago:

We've done the test fit for the 2005 but still need a 2006 in order to get final measurements. Can you post a notice again and ask anyone interested to contact Tim Lund in our tech department? Our toll free number is 888-427-2872 (888-4ARBUSA)

Thanks.

If anyone is able to fill the need, this will be a huge help to get the Bullbar finished up. Once they are certain of a 2006 fit, they can issue a part # and start whipping those puppies out. We could be on the trails with these things before summer! :D :bigok:

Great info. So they did the test with '05 and it fit 2003-2005.

Come on, somebody with 2006, help ARB guys and you'll be a hero in 4Runner community :D

They still haven't found a 2006 in Washington to use - maybe I'll just have to drive up from LA! Unfortunately I would spend more in gas then the discount they will offer me is worth.

If they will give free bar + free lockers, I'll drive from Toronto. ;)

You'll get the bumper at a discount - like 50% off.
That's the deal - a good deal for someone!!

Come on Washington let's get this thing done!

Good thinking though :jester:

I just don't get this. For a company as big as ARB, they are delayed in putting this on the market because they can't find a donor via web forums? This makes no sense.

Has anyone heard a date for actual release?

Hell, if they give me the bar for free and accomodate me for a few days while they test fit, I'll drive across country :P

You're in CA, it's not too far.

I can't get it either. There is no '06 4Runner in Washington State??? Toyota didn't sell any there???? Or nobody there care about ARB bumper...

There are plenty of 06 Runners in WA State. I know, I live there. The trick is finding someone who cares about/wants an ARB front bumper. Needless to say if I had an '06 this would be done. Unfortunately, it's unlikely my '04 will morph into an '06 over night.

Yeah, I know how you feel. Why don't they just go swing by a dealership and pick one up  . Unfortunately, dealerships don't tend to lend new vehicles out for the day, especially when there's gonna be a little "experimentation" involved. And I know Enterprise Rent a Car doesn't offer Toyotas. So this whole 2006 fitting is becoming a real :xnuts: for us. Hmmmm, now that I think about it, me thinks Hertz rents Toyotas....

The bar cost ~ $1000-$1200. 50% discount is $500-$600. So they should offer $500 for someone who will let them vehicle for a day. Sound like a good deal.

Help me pay for gas and I'll drive up next week!
I just don't have the funds to pay for gas these days - but other than that I would totally drive. Maybe four of us Californians should pile into one vehicle and drive together... then we can demand discounts for all of us!

THE SEARCH IS OVER!!!
No need for a 2006 4Runner any longer. ARB’s got their productive little hands on one now. Just received the following email response:
