sport hood

419 + 100 s&h for a painted sport hood from dnhautoparts.com , anybody heard of this place? may not be oem but would be nice to just bolt one on when it arrives.

I'm ok with some aftermarket parts, but remember the hood is involved in crash testing and I'd prefer OEM standard for it. Having worked with both, I know that it's rare to get an LKQ part to bolt on perfectly, which would be a problem if the part comes painted. Things like mounting brackets, washer jets, grille, and body lines all need to line up.

If you can live with a few imperfections, $419 painted is a good price. You will need to consider color matching, this wont be a problem if you have a black truck. Also, consider whether the hood scoop bezel is included.

I haven't heard of D&H, so you may want to check with a local body shop for a source on a good supplier. Its better to deal locally with this type of job. Junkyards are your best bet, there may be an OEM hood around for $100
