The element or wire going to it in the seat might be busted. Did you check for continuity on the wires going to the heating elements?

I've wondered if it would be hard to add the heating elements to the seats of my Sports Edition.
We have it in the jetta, and it is a nice feature on cold mornings.

I think the only way will be to get the LTD seats or seats with heater coils in them. Some folks may have a different route though.

I am always weary of aftermarket kits, came across this kit this morning.

Maybe that kit will work with the factory switch.

It looks like they even have seat ventilation.

And another one that seems to have a OEM switches for Toyota.

I'll check them out, I was quoted $300 cad for a set.

Thanks, that's good to know.

They list a kit for the 06 tacoma, not for the 4Runner. I wonder if the toyota switches for the taco are the same as for the 4Runner.

I'll give them a call in the next day or two.

According to Rostra we need part number 250-1759 for our 4Runners, and the switches will fit in the oem locations.

(Just a bit of tech archive for myself also ;) )
