I'm sure this has been discussed before but couldn't find anything related to my problem via the search. here is what happened; I started the truck this morning and it was about 30 degrees. pulled out of the neighborhood to turn left and the turn signal flashes 10 times faster then the right. any suggestions to remedy this? oh and if it makes a difference, I do have DRL's.

Edit: just after posting this, my left DRL went out so I'm assuming if I just replace the buld then it will work like it should. but is there anything else I should check?

Usually those fast blinks indicate a bulb failure and are to indicate to you there is a problem with it and it needs replaced, not sure if the 4Runner does that...

In case anyone was wondering, the 4Runner does have an indicator that a turn signal is out. It is the quick turn signal. All you do is just replace the bulb that flashes quickly and then it works normally again.

Just what I would have suggested.
