How do you guys feel Shrockworks sliders compare with Demello's Sliders?
I'm going to be in the market soon... but having trouble deciding between these, Demello and Hanna's.

Shrockworks sliders as in the link below

Any opinions? - enlightenment?

Thanks,

I think you need to decide between bolt on vs weld on sliders first.

I have the Hanna sliders and they have served me very well. Taken quite a bit of abuse and have not budged at all. They are bolt on and super strong. THe only thing is the bolts and nuts get nicked a bit on rocks which makes the uninstall and reinstall a bit more fun that planned. Also the U-bolts need to be bend back in shape when you reinstall. They are however excellent sliders and the workmanship on it is a piece of art. Pricey though at $695 or so a set.

THe Demello sliders are weld on promarily I think. However they are cheaper. Make sure to have them with scab plates and gussets whenthey weld on. I think they will probably work out sligthly cheaper after they are welded on. Check total install price though.

THe SW sliders look very interesting, but I dont know too much about them. I like the tucked up mount, but don't know how well it will hold up over time with lots of abuse. Jim can probably give his comments here, I'm sure he will make a fine product though. Install/reinstall issues I'm nut sure about as they haven't been installed beaten up and then removed, guess time will tell. I do believe that SW will make a quality product though.

So till I see more in real life and sliders in action my vote would be in the following order
- Hanna
- SW
- Demello (weld on)

But then pricing will be in that order too. I think you will be happy with either option, pending if you want welded sliders or not. At this poitn int time we dont have enough info and track records to make anything but speculation. The good thing is that all 3 are companies with good reputations in the markets they primarily focus. So that should give you a level of comfort.

So far so good w/ my Demello sliders. I've already banged the hell outa' mine, haven't budged a bit. I think the weakness w/ all sliders is, bangs & scratches= rust. On going maintenance. With 4 weld mounts, & an excellent weld job from the Demello guys, the quality is unquestionable. If you see mine, you'll want them. Everybody does. My vote, Demello sliders. Maybe I'm biased though. ;)

I'll say I'm a bit biased now that I payed all that money to Demello, but when I was in your shoes I looked at all the vendors and decided on Demello.

You don't have to worry about his mounts having scab plates and gussets, he's been doing that for ever:

If you go weld on Demello is defintely the way to go. I saw Henry's sliders and they looked well mounted. I hate those sliders that have justth elittle tubes welded to the frame. That is looking for trouble IMHO.

However I'm a bolt on type of guy, that is why I prefer bolt on solutions if it is feasible. :P

Everyone has their bias, but as long as we share info it helps others to decide with good info in hand.

Completely agree. Decide first on Bolt-on vs. weld on, and then go from there. Any vendor mentioned so far have been quality.

If you change suspension (i.e. lift) do you need to get a new set of sliders? I want to get the OME suspension in the future, but want to do sliders first, but don't want to have to do sliders twice.

Nope sliders are tied to the frame, so if you change the supension it doesn't matter. The only time you wil want to look at it is when you do a body lift. You might want to move the sliders higher then, although it is probably better to keep them at the same level as the bottom of the frame rail.

I really like those Demello weld mounts!!  I think that if I ever rip off these All Pro sliders, those (for weld mount) look like the ones to get. The ShrockWorks bolt ones are nice too! :D

Yeah they are nice. I actually just got around to touching them up with some paint yesterday. They were still scratched up from Stoddard.
