I just purchased a 06' Limited 4X4 V8 4Runner 5days ago. I immediately plan to start modding which will include Donahoes, rear coils/shocks, and of course, a pair of sliders. However, were there changes made to the 06' models that will not allow sliders from 03-05' models to fit (ie; Hannah, Demello, etc.)? If so, what sliders are currently available for the 06' 4Runners? I really don't like the generic looking factory boards on my Limited (although they do light up). So, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Apparently the 06 has a lower waistline on the rocker panels compaared to the earlier models. James has more details on it, but it is probably only the cladding. Be that as it may the Hanna bolt ons doesn't seem to fit properly. However weld on sliders should still work if you get a good fabber to install it. SO check with Demello, etc. Jim at SW is also looking at modifying his bolt on sliders to fit the 06s, so you should probably give him a call and speak to him. I think if he can gthis hands on an 06 it should be an easy mod on the current sliders for him. Give him a ring if you are looking at bolt on sliders.

And to clarify some of Bulldogs shortcomings (of which there are many :moon: ;) ) ...SW stands for Shrockworks http://www.shrockworks.com/ and James's username here is Cruiserhead.

I'm still happy with my 4Crawler (roger brown) sliders - he can set them up for welding or bolting on.
