I went out Sunday, w/ my dad in his JGC & me & the boys in the 4R, for a little quicky. We started from the north, off of Bouquet Cnyn Rd. I live only 20 miles from there & my dad lives about 5. My dad used to do this trail about 20 yrs ago, but I had never been.

The trail gets fun right off the bat. The 1st hill is a good bit of challenge & the rest of what we did was pretty moderate. We drove to the top, had a long lunch at the stand of Oak trees & then turned around & went back down. Going down was a lot more interesting than coming up!! Dad got the jeep pretty damn tippy!! That thing drives like a 2x4. The 4R crawled up & right back down.

These pics are of the good hill. They're all of the jeep & there's only a few, but it's better than nothin'. The rest are here:http://community.webshots.com/album/553160784mcBjjl

North of Los Angeles btwn Santa Clarita & Palmdale. It felt wrong posting all the jeep pics :nono: , but I wanted all to have a looksy at this section. It gets a difficult rating & rightly so, but only for the 1st couple of hills.

I'll be back in a week or so to test my bro's XJ & get lots of 4R pics. :bigok:

Post-up here before you go, if you wouldn't mind. It looks like fun and I'd like to check it out if you don't mind. I'll have new tires this weekend and need something to test them on!

Don't mind at all. I'll post up as soon as I know. Usually last minute, but I'll try to give a little notice. Great place to do some testing & it's close.

jason,
I go to Rowher, it's a fun local trail. Good to test out mods

That one climb off bouquet cyn is the only hard part. It's not really hard unless it's wet- then it's a bit gnarly. I remember first time I went, my friends decided to skip it b/c it would take too long. a jeep rolled on that climb.

Goin' up wasn't bad at all, but comin' down sure gets the blood pumping! I can definitely see someone floppin' comin' down, if they're not carefull. My dad came pretty close. I bet it's fun to try when it's wet.
