Dunno, it looks cool but rates low on practicality. The Subaru Baja never took off as it was jsut too small and impractical.

Yeah but it reminds me of a baby version of the U80!
The mod possibilities...mmmmmmm!

:iagree, the h2 sut never really took off either

the pickup bed doesn't even look big enough for robert's dog and fridge :rotflmao:

Chyna could sit up front so as long as Robert can't bust the rear end...

It does look cute but a matching yellow hard core lifted off road trailer ought to help with cargo issues!

The fridge just might fit, but the dog has to ride inside, it's safer.

I dig the hell out of that chopped 80 though, that thing is extremely sick!

The U80 (Ultimate 80) owned by Drexx Laggui & built by Ken Hanna.

portal axles, 37 Krawlers, central air system (can air down/up while moving), winches front & back, supercharged, spare tire is on a extra hub (spare can spin freely), FOX remote resv shocks are like 20" long or something crazy, full alloy cargo drawer system, 10 jerry can holder inside...

It will be at Surf n Turf this weekend :)

I'd rather have the Jeep Gladiator you posted up in MUD. Too bad that won't go into production.

I'd hate to guess how much it cost to build that. Over $50k maybe?

On another side note, thanks for changing the banner, but can you please have the one that I submitted with Marks the other day. You know, instead of the one of me broken? Thanks James!

I thought that pic was funny b/c of Andries expression- really, it's all good. I like the attitude you guys showed while in the pickle- true wheelers! :cool1:

But since you chimed in...wait till next banner

OT- thread diversion over-

Back to FJC pickup! :)

Only once. :moon:

Now back to topic, so do you know how much $$$$ to build up that U 80?

It is very cool, I wonder how the visibility is compared to a "normal" FJ? I wonder how it would look with a hard Tonneau?

Looking at the photos in the link, the bed does look pretty small. I wonder if it would hold as much stuff as a production FJ?

I guess I'm in the minority. I think it reminds me of a cross between a Subaru Baja and a H2 pick-up. Normal FJ's look decent with the white roof, I think on this it looks like a white beannie cap on a truck. I think the rear end looks too rounded as well. But at least it's a Toy and will be built well;)

The concept is cool, but totally impractical. What would you do with that "bed"?
