I would say let someone do it and let it be done. I have had zero issues since mine was replaced almost a year ago now. Yes 1k is pretty close to total cost for the $25 Toyota seal.

90% of the time it's the main rear oil seal. Had to do mine unfortunately and surprisingly. Costs a fortune, need to drop the tranny to get to it as well as the tcase and drive shafts.

There’s only one amp on the rear pass quarter...

There’s only one amp on the rear pass quarter panel in the cargo area. Cheaper to buy a real amp but a headache to connect the wiring matching. I have the color coding somewhere if you need it....

Sorry to hear about the crash hope everyone is okay. If you want to keep it stock I would get the TRD Pro otherwise it won't be worth it to change out the TRD Pro suspension from a cost stand point...

I think most install a turn on/off kill switch (or isolator) for the secondary battery (for when needed) sounds like you may have it just connected directly, which in turn would leave it HOT or on...

Thanks for bringing this up. So if the spindle connection will not break free or is stuck you can strike the spindle in the flat spot in the side of the spindle. That’s actually what it’s there for....
