Is Eagle Lake/Pierce OHV the entrance to Fordyce?

Here is where I was thinking.

http://www.arounddonnersummit.com/activities/ohv.html

Billy Hill OHV Route

Billy Hill OHV Route is 4.9 miles north of I-80 on Highway 89. Turn right onto Hobart Mills and follow road 88-6 to Tahoe Timber Trails Campground. Take the left fork and continue 0.3 miles. The area features a loop with several spurs. The route is suitable for 4x4s, ATVs, and motorcycles.

Verdi Peak OHV Routes

Verdi Peak OHV Routes are found north of Boca Reservoir and east of Stampede Reservoir. Take the Hirschdale exit off Interstate 80 and drive north past Boca Reservoir. 3 miles north of I-80 turn right onto Boca Springs Road, then right again onto forest road 72 to Verdi Peak.

The roads in the Verdi Peak area are suitable for 4x4s, ATVs, and motorcycles. By following the road up to Verdi Peak you can gain views of Boca, the Sierra crest, and Reno.

Map
http://www.arounddonnersummit.com/maps/prosser_ohv.png

They have a ton of side trails off the main dirt roads and if there is snow on the ground at that time, it is gorgeous and smooth running to the trees to each side trail.

Poker Flat mapped out. But I think snow might be an issue around thanksgiving.

Still finding something doable even with snow.

I think everyone is secretly scared of the cold white stuff.

I would love to go. My previous trip to truckee area late last season was a blast but way too short... Storm was coming in and it would have been ill advised to continue on...

Bring on the cold! Besides, how often do we get to camp in the snow (if there will even be snow)?!

If it snows a nice snow trip may be in order, but I don't do the camping in the white stuff

I am throwing together a Masonic (think that's the name) to Bodie trip. Then we can do camping somewhere around the Lundy Lake like AJ mentioned.

Approximately 30 plus is dirt to go see Bodie and get out. Then possibly go find camp afterwards? Just an idea.

This trip is three weeks away and I'm stoked! I just built a simple sleeping platform in my rig so that I don't need to pitch a tent every night. Can't wait to try it out.

With that being said, let's get a headcount going.

1. AJ
2. Mike
3. Jeffy (Maybe)
4. Steve (Sledgehammer)
...

Put me down as a maybe. I should be able to commit one way or another in about a week. I would love to go but I've got a lot going on.

So are we winging the trails? Or we can do the above first day and then at camp go over maps and decide what we want to do on the second day.

I dont know, I will just be glad to be out camping.
