Default Dewey Bridge

Last night Dewey Bridge burnt down :

http://www.gjsentinel.com/blogs/cont...ey_bridge.html

A member at another forum got pics:

If you go into his gallery, you will see more, but I didn't know how to link the gallery .

I will always remember the bridge as the beginning of the "Top of the World" .

I'm feeling .

I just looked under my car and my front tow hook is missing? I know I had it before Moab because I checked everything very carefully before I left. It's not from the last week as you can see from the dirt. I would have know if I snagged it off on some rocks as the bolt holes would have been stripped. No way 2 big bolts could have 'unscrewed' themselves - these bolts go from the tow hook through the radiator skid to the frame. The last person to have touched them would have been Jason DeMello 3 years ago with an impact wrench and lots of torque when he put them on!

Moab is not a 'safe' town.

That sucks Joyce. I wonder whether its just during that weekend (all the Jeepers) that this type of thing occurs or whether its just Moab in general. There's a-holes everywhere I guess.

It's not my upper or lower ball joints which are stock. It's the spherical joint on the bottom of the shock (the part that goes into the shock mount). Called Icon and it's $14.50 each, so I bought for both sides upper and lower. Jeremy said that they last up to 100k if only used on road and not offroad . I guess that means no more offroading for me .

Henry - hope you can join us again soon.

The trip was amazing. Ever corner we were going "oh wow..look at that..." and our campsites were unusual and picturesque. Wish we could do it again now!

John, Joyce - do either of you have photos of some of those real steep descents we did? I'm especially thinking of the descent where the bullbar scoops the sand at the bottom before starting to level out? This would have been the one I think where John dragged his rear end with the wheels off the ground.
