Default Big Bear 9/20/09

Went up to Big Bear today with Blair, Abu and Eric. Had an awesome day with great weather and a good group of guys. We only had one small issue during the entire day, but I will let the others post pictures to explain that one

On to the pictures:

Very fun time! Hopefully we will get another run organized soon. Now I need to A) figure out what to do about my stupid roof rack problems B) figure out my alignment issue C) grab my backup spare!

My only pic from the day

You must be on the Jeep forums a lot to see if you can snatch more KM2s huh?

We spent a lot of time on 3N16 taking little bypasses we found here and there, also went down 3N02 (goes by the back entrance to John Bull and leads to some AMAZING views) and explored in that area for awhile, which probably is my favorite area. It was a pretty easy going day and did not do anything too extreme.

Definitely not, the hole in the sidewall was large enough to put the wrench I used to take the lugs off through it. I have a total of 6 255/75/17 (well, now 5), and am always on the prowl for more . On longer trips I like to have the ability to carry two spares, better safe than sorry!

There, I did a quick fix on them. Hopefully that's better because the first ones were embarrassing.

We do a bit of everything, but I have developed an aversion to rock crawling so I don't particularly like it. We took 3N16 up to Holcomb Valley and did some of the trails behind John Bull.

It's a good combo of driving situations. We get the fast runs to work out our suspensions, the middle speed trails which still have their fair share of obstacles and plenty of whoops, and then the slower, more technical trails on the rocks.

Abu,
Where are your pictures? You were cranking them out at about the same pace I was!

We'll definitely give you a shout for our next trip. It was good to have you along.

Eric, same goes for you!
