Default Hollister fun run

Met up with Woody yesterday at Hollister Hills for a little fun run. Needed to get out a bit.

It was a great day out, with lots of sunshine, etc. The Molina Ghost run was also held at the same time, but the traffic wasn't bad at all, just seemed that the Jeeps kept following us around.

We started at the easy obstacle course to get warmed up; and I also realized Woody seemed to be up for any challenge in his GX (great to see a GX out and about). We did a few of the mild obstacles there.

We then headed to the old obstacle course and played around. The Frame twister was pretty dug up and very muddy at the rock section. A pretty build Jeep had a real hard time getting through. Woody then spotted me through, and I made it through without too many hassles due to choosing better lines. IH8MUD though The pups enjoyed a little rest in the shade though.

We enjoyed a bit of lunch. I just packed some sandwiches, but Woody had a whole grill, etc to cook some hotdogs

Afterwards we headed out to the quarry (where I still need to climb that one rock, another failure attempt this time). We then headed out to Hechtor Heights and some site seeing. Was a gorgeous day and a great view from the top.

On the way back we stopped by truck hill. Seemed like the Jeeps that where there either already did it, or didn't want to risk the climb. The hill wasn't too dug up and sandy this time, but still looked like fun. Woody was up for the challenge and surprised a few onlookers by taking the GX up. The and pups voted no on me going up

Continued.....

Woody then did the V groove by truck hill for some bonus points.

We then returned to the obstacles course and finished with the old one. I first had to winch a Jeep out of the frame twister logs.

Then Woody took on the challenge doing the frame twister backwards. I initially didn't think he would make it, but with careful lines and driving he made it (with some rear bumper damage that hopefully wont be too bad once cleaned).

Needless to say the crowd loved seeing a Lexus go through. And sure enough a newbie decided to take his brand new Range Rover through. Apparently he just bough it in the morning.

New Range Rover $80 000........
Ticket to Hollister $5
Getting stuck on the logs $0

Towed out by a Sami $0 , but fun (for the crowd)

Getting your new Range Rover part handed back to you ...... Priceless

Last but not least a shot of Woody taking pix of himself

You messed up a running board, this dude will need a new front bumper. The frame twister was dug up pretty bad though. SOme of the holes between the logs were over 3 ft deep.
