15th Annual Sept Mojave Road trip 2020!

Well, another successful Mojave Road trip, but sadly without my old faithful 2003 R4unner on the trail with me this time.
I feel really guilty leaving her behind and cheating on her with my134Runner.....who did great btw!!

The Montero had to bail out @ US 95 and the Mojave Road, as he was having overheating issues. He could have probably made it, but he didn't want to risk it and also hold us back having to stop and cool down every once in a while.

So, it was just us three in our 13 4Runner TE, JP's 2020 Army Green TRDPro and Mo's 2007 Beast of an FJ!!

Although, I did have to break out the strap and me and my134Runner did it's first of no doubt, many recoveries!! More on that later, as well as pics.....as soon as I can figure out how to get them out of my phone, and camera and on to here again!!

Mo has video and pics too, as well as a few pics from JP. So, until then...….It's me signing out for now!!!

I need to sort through my pics and post some. I have lots of duplicates for some reason...definitely quantity over quality lol.

Was a fun trip though, great to get out and enjoy the amazing weather and check out some new spots I'd never seen before.

Awesome!! Hope you can come out for Easter next year too!

Also, may want to do a day trip some Sunday soon. I've been chatting with Ranger Dave Nichols (NPS), as he is also the NPS archeologist, they are rehabbing two more cabins out there. One is in Riley's Camp, the old Roswell house, Mo and I checked it out, it a Huge mess right now, but by the time the finish it someday, it should be as nice as the Geer Cabin we stayed at Sunday night, Monday morning, or Riley's cabin.
The other one, which I want to try and find is off of Lanfair Road in the Hackberry Mountains…….a section I haven't really done much exploring in. He said it's on the Southern side, and he used Goff's to let me know what side of the mountains its on.

It was very fun as always. it was fun losing you and having to back up with JP to find you. Day 4 was friggin awesome! It's unfortunate with what happened to the Joshua trees. I'll upload pics here in a bit. Also getting new tent "steaks" was awesome along with your new sledge hammers. Too bad we didn't grab the ladder lol

DAY 2

First I have to get my new card reader from Amazon tomorrow, then download my Nikon pics.
I literally had my card reader in my hand about a week or two ago when getting ready for the trip, and I can't remember where I put it and got pissed off and bought another one instead!!! @#%$&*@#%$!!
See what happens when you get old kids?! You forget shlt you just did a minute ago!!!! Also while getting ready for the trip, I stopped at Autozone in My034runner to pick up some more inline fuses for my134runner...….later on that day (The day Before our trip) I absolutely could Not find them!! Tore apart both trucks, house, etc.....just have no idea where the hell they went!! Good thing, I found extra's in the tool bag, as I always buy extra's!
