Well, now that I'll have an actual real radio now, it should prompt towards that. You have to remember, I'm old and stupid now.......hate tests! If I could take the test online, instead of missing a day of work to drive all over hell to take the test......that would be easier......

Sounds like excuses to me
The test will take an hour or so on a Saturday (sometimes they are on other days) Besides you old guys need to exercise your brains more

Saturdays are why I've missed a couple. Damn near impossible to get out of work on a Saturday!
I've forgot everything I studied though. Need to find a Super easy stupid proof test prep thing. I can't remember the one I had used before. Either way, it's not going to happen before Easter.

Just busting your chops.

I read a book and did some of the online tests. Fairly basic stuff to remember just keep taking the online test till you get most of the questions right. I think you can miss 20% or more of the questions and still pass.

I did a search and they have a test on a Wednesday a little north of Henderson.
Here is one 2 weeks away. Now get to it

Hey Robert, did you mount this in to the factory location?
With how far smart phones have come the past 10 yrs, I'd like to yank out my double DIN OEM CD/AM/FM and replace it with a good comms radio and a simple AM/FM with bluetooth and USB charger, and just use my phone for tunes and on-road nav.

What are you talking about? This new radio was a Kenwood Ham radio! I still rock the original JBL system/nav!
And I mounted this on the passenger side of the center console. Already had the cb on the drivers side.

Ya I know. What I mean is that I'd like to get a new Ham radio, and dump my JBL for a new, simple, single DIN AM/FM/bluetooth receiver, and put both the Ham and the new receiver in the factory JBL location. Curious if anyone has done something like that yet.
EDIT: Looks like someone has... http://www.toyota-4runner.org/2466369-post36.html

I got you now. I think someone here has done something like that a while back, have to search though, as I don't remember how long ago that was.
