Default Questions about buying a GX470 with high miles

I recently found a 05' GX470 with the sport package that is exactly what I want besides one thing. It is coming up on 200k miles. The body is in overall good shape but it's missing a plug for the third brake light hole behind the rear spoiler. I've driven 3 of the GXs and this one drives as good or better than the ones with 70k less miles on the odometer. The timing belt needs to be changed but I can do this myself and am thinking I'll have him knock that off the price.

I'm just very reluctant because of the miles. I don't plan to go to extreme with modifications besides lifting the front to level it out and switching the sneakera to 265/70R17. I want to ease myself into off roading and don't plan on being overly hard on the truck. I made the mistake about researching kdss and fell in love with the sport package which is why I really want this particular GX. The owner said the previous owner was a Lexus mechanic so that could explain why it's in really good mechanical condition.

Should I be concerned about the high miles? Is there anything I should look for that could be prone to needing work? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If it was well maintained the miles should not be an issue.

That's about what I was thinking, as long as I can get it for the right price. Hope to be picking it up soon, I'll upload pictures of it if and when I get it. Is there anyway to make sure the KDSS is in good shape?

The only major parts which can go bad even in a well maintained GX are transfer case and Transmission. So as long as the owner has changed ATF before 140k, and transfer case is fine, you are good to go. Factor in the cost of these two before making the offer.

Other big (but not so major expenses) can be coils and spark plugs and CV joints.

Last but not the least, if you are going for 200k+ model, make sure there is service record available.
