Default Wheel fitment? Will a 16x8 with 4.5 inch backspace and 0mm offset fit my 07?

New to the forum and loving my 4Runner so far. Just trying to figure out if a 16x8 with 4.5 inch backspace and 0 offset with stock size tires fit and not rub. I searched, and learned that the 4.5" backspace is ok, but I'm curious about the 0mm offset. Can any wheel gurus chime in? Thanks in advance!

You may get a slight rubbing on the front mudflaps and full turn. This will depend if you have a lift or not, and how the suspension is aligned. Most likely you will not get any rubbing with stock tires.

There are slight differences on each situation, due to tire specs and designs (how square the thread is), how much caster is adjusted by pushing the LCA forward, etc.

SO stock tires will fit on 8" wide wheels and if there is rubbing it will likely be minimal.

You don't think the 0 millimeter offset will give me any issues?

Lot's of people run 0 offset. It moves the wheel a bit away from the frame, but that causes the turning radius to be slightly larger; which can cause the rubbing on the mudflaps.

Do check the 16" wheel though, as you don't specify what 4Runner you have. The bigger Sport calipers won't fit with 16" wheels.

I tried the neighbor's 16" rims on my 2006 SR5 and they wouldn't fit because of the calipers. I had 17" rims come with the truck.

What size rims are currently on it?
