Default Recommend New Suspension

I need to update my suspension soon, with all the daily weight I carry picking up supplies it's starting to wear.

Currently using the Overland Warehouse Radflo setup.

Stiffer rear coils and a smoother ride over bumps while loaded up.

Any one have any suggestions?

Are these the 2.0 or 2.5 Radflos? If they are the 2.5s, I'd think you'd have a hard time finding better. Just rebuild, and maybe get stiffer rear springs.

Yes they are 2.5's.

I have considered that but I can't have my Runner out of service while they are being rebuilt.

The Metaltech Radflo Stage 6 looks like a contender though.

Yeah see if you can get some 260-280 lb/in rear coils to help carry the weight. Then see if the shocks need a rebuild.

Call metaltech and see what the spring rates are on the Icon Overland rear coils. It is variable rate coil, but they don't list the actual spring rates. They have one for 4Runners and one for GXs.

I also run the 2.5 OW Radflos. Received lots of compliments over the years from other off-roaders (mostly Jeepers) who get a ride in, or a chance to drive, my 4Runner.

I did have the rear shocks rebuilt. I bought a cheap set of Bilsteins and use those as a temporary solution while the Radflos were being rebuilt.

For rear springs, I run the All-Pro Offroad 3.5" since I have a rear bumper with dual swingouts (4x4 Labs).

Masa I have been running the Icon Overland for a while now and the ride really smooth on the street. Have yet to take them on a true trail run. They are paired with Fox DSCs (Tundra model) that I can adjust the high and low speed compression on. Been very happy with the setup and I am sure as I play with the settings I will like them even more.

And that's with the rear bumper, drawers with tools and recovery gear, RTT, Awning...
