Easter Weekend...…..April 15-17 2022!!!!!!!!
Also, an additional 3 or 4 days extra time after the Mojave Road for anyone else who wants to stay out!! Staying at a couple different cabins for the following days, plenty of room for whomever!!


No more Excuses People!!!

Commiefornia is No Longer on Lock down, Nevada is no longer locked down, so there really isn't any excuse for our club not to come out and represent instead of me cross posting to get other clubs to join us!!

So, come out for a Glorious and hopefully covid Free 2022 Easter Mojave Road trip!!!!


Lets Make this The Post Covid Easter Run!!!!

I want, and Expect a Big group on this trip, this is The Best time of the year out there, and the weather will be Perfect!!!

So, Lets have a killer group, again, with 2 (two) months of time to PLAN...….Why wouldn't anyone want to go?!?!

But, I will Not take more than Eight (8) to Twelve (12) trucks...….I do have a Limit!!

Two of the cabins that JP (Ludedude) and I just recently explored, actually have lights strung up inside. I asked Ranger Dave Nichols how they work, as there shouldn't be any power, he said generators!

So, not having room for a big ass honda gas generator, nor wanting to hear one run all night, I bought a new EcoFlow River Max Plus Solar generator, so we'll actually even have Power on this and all future trips!!

I just sold a new Tacoma to Shane, I got the date......2-22-22, and a few other 22222's on his paperwork!! Lol!! It was pretty funny, see if anyone notices all of the 22222222's!!! Lol!
Cool dude, invited him and his family out for the Easter trip, it'll be a great break in trip in their new Tacoma!!! He may pop on here, I have to go in and okay his registration.
So hopefully we can get Shane and family out with us, he just left with his new Tacoma.

So, I got the 2-22-22 out of my system for today!! Lol!!

Hopefully I remember to put up the Meal Planner this time, probably in another month or so.
And yeah, I kind of like going to the Lave Tubes, even if I haven't gone back in the last couple of trips. Cleo isn't able to get down into that big hole, well......she could probably get down, then her arthritis will kick in and she won't be worth a **** for a couple of days. But I still like showing it off and taking people there. I should go in and try out my 8mm and 10mm lenses.
But that what we have the photo teacher to do for us!!

In matter of fact, I want to stop at the Brannigan Mine cabins on Easter Sunday and hope no one is there, if no one is there at the time, I'll raise the flag and hopefully we'll have those cabins later on that night After we're done with the Easter Mojave Road part of the trip.
We actually travel right past the Brannigan Mine Road on Sunday anyway.......it's only a few minutes off of the Mojave Road, so not that much of a detour.

Maybe stay there a couple of days and maybe move over to Rileys Camp and hopefully grab one of those two cabins.

As long as it's not as windy as last year's Easter trip!! But windy + a cabin to stay in actually works out pretty well!! Beats trying to camp out in a tent with those 50 mph winds!!

Canon mirrorless R series, camera and lenses! Used it last week in Death Valley and wow! Big step up from the 5d line and the RF L Lens line. Love the new glass but learning curve for the camera is a little challenging.

So Canon has joined the mirrorless camera club now? Nikon and Sony have been doing for a while now. I have too many lenes to want to start over again, rather spend more $$ on the truck or the house.
Why is it so much better than the 5D, and the high end lenses? That's a pretty damn good camera!

The internal stabilization is way better and the new lens’s are sharper. Canon is late to the market that Sony has so long dominated but they have produced a quality camera. If I had to buy this gear I wouldn’t. I just sold my 5d mkii and have a few EF L lens’s to move. There’s no going back now!
