Default ICON Vehicle Dynamics / 2.5" Diameter Piggyback Reservoir Rear Shock

Hey guys... I wanted to show everyone our new 2.5" Diameter Rear Shock we will be releasing soon. Please let me know what you all think, they aren't for the faint of heart, they will retail around 399.00 per shock. They are well worth for the avid offroad who needs that extra bit of the performance out of their rear suspension.

Let me know what you think!

Very cool!! I like the bumpstop feature at the end of the compression stroke. Eliminates the need for Timbren or lightracing bumpstops in the back. Wish you guys had it earlier when I got my remote res foxes inthe back. They certainly look like a great option.

Only thing is the hokey way to prevent it from turning, wish they could use something like the XREAS shock tabs on the 4Runner, ro soemthing more hidden.

Couple of questions:
- Price?
- Will it work on the 4Runner? (I'm sure it will fit just asking)
- What is the extended length of these? (ANy need to extend the brake lines?)
- I assume these can be rebuidl and custom valved if needs be??
- What valve does it have for gas at the resi?

PS: I moved this to the suspension section.

These look so killer, if (maybe in a year or so) I upgrade from OME, I would probably get Icon front and rear. What springs would be recommended? Does Icon do springs?

Also note that Jeremy did say that he can organise a lay-away plan for those who find the $$ tight, and I don't think he was joking. Hmmmm.....

We do a 2" Lift coil-spring for the rear. The rate is about 20% higher than the factory setup, a bit better for load bearing but now to stiff so it still articulates great and rides decent on the street.,

I like those, but I'm thinking about getting the RadFlo 2.5's with the internal res.
A bit less expensive too, around $200+ per shock. Just need to get our dealer application sent in.

But, I carry the Icons as well, so it's one or the other.

They are rebuildable btw, I asked that specifically in Ouray.

Oh and I'll tell you they look even nicer in person. Sorry if someone ends up with the ones that were on display in Ouray, they have a bit of drool on them.

The only problem with a shock with an internal floating piston is you are limited wheel travel. Our 2.0 Shock we have is a Mono-tube with an internal floating piston and it is built as compact as possible to pull the most amount of wheel travel using the factory mounting points. With the Piggyback External Reservoir you can compress that factory bumpstop completely to get the most amount of up travel possible.

Keep in mind... you get what you pay for

Just ordered mine today!!!

Can't really afford to spend the $$$$ right now, but my old DR 2.0's are about shot!! Was hoping to have them by this weekend, but as it always goes....I have to wait.
That's cool, maybe I can make some $$$$ to pay for them!!!

Well I have been running these on my 4Runner for a couple weeks now. So far only been offroad once, and that was on a hunting trip. Mostly just long dirt roads. So far I'm very happy. The ride is very good, not bouncy or stiff. I'll post more updates as I get more miles on them.
