Thumbs up Lockwood/Miller Jeep Trail

I took the 4R out to Fraizer Park on Sun to really test the new set-up. Went from north to south, started on Lockwood, just some steep narrow switchbacks, nothing difficult. Real nice picnic/ camping area just before the start of Miller, with one table right next to the creek & lots of trees. I'll definitely go back for an over nighter. Miller Jeep Trail is some good wheelin'!! There are about 5-8 difficult sections on the long climb to the top, they'll definitely get the blood going & are worth the trip. The sliders took 2 or 3 good hits, but nothing underneath, amazingly. I don't have many photos & no action shots, sorry, but we were only 2 vehicles & I had my boys in tow & we were trying to make some tracks, so we kinda just plowed thru. Once you start up, there is no turning back, so make sure to be committed. There were a couple of places that I wasn't sure about, but with a little spotting got thru. The 4R handled like a champ, I was impressed. Ran into Fraizer Park 4x4 club, they started the club so they could adopt the trail as it was going to be closed. Thanks Fraizer Park club! We passed them while they were at lunch & met up again at the top. We made good time , so I let the kids run around for a while. One guy was in the new FJ & was the first up, with an old LC & a nice jeep in tandem tow. 1 FJ towing 2 vehicles!! It was a sight to see. I highly recommend the trail, it was lots of fun & was dificult, but not too dificult. I'll post the photos I have this evening.

Not many pix, but this is what I've got. No shots of the good stuff. First time thru was a little intimidating, so all present were holdin' on & not thinkin' about photos. A bit over 1 hr from home, so I'll be back soon & get lots of pix, now that I know what to expect & how long it takes. We ran it just about 4 hrs with a quick 30 min lunch break @ Kabob Hill. Someone got broke takin' the harder line. It's definitely worth a visit. I'm so glad this thing isn't a soccer mom car anymore. My 4Runner kicks arse!!

I didn't realize I used up all my space. I'll post up on one of the web pages & ad a link with a few more pix. Won't be till tomorrow, at best.

I like the pics pity they are small. As a registered user you get 1MB attacment space, once you post 100 posts you become an active poster and get 10MB space.

You can look under forum suggestions for free websites to upload pics too as well.

O.K. here are a few more & in a better size. I'm not real happy with the quality of the photos once webshots gets them, I think I'll try a few others. Link: http://community.webshots.com/user/JP4Crawler

Thanks! The Jeep has a 2" spacer lift & 31" ATs, nothing else. I'm in a Toy, of course I look tougher. I was suprised the Jeep made it in a few spots, my A-trac kicked in & powered me thru those spots. I waited at the top thinkin' we might turn around or pull him up, but he always made it. That's what 35-40 yrs of hard wheelin' can do (my Pops was at the wheel). Experience is the most powerfull mod you can have. Truly amazing!! See you on the trails soon.
