40" x 17" x 13.5" Cooper STT Pro on 17" x 9" Fuel Anza D116 Beadlocks. Thats was a seven hour job! Had a hell of a time getting the tires over the lip of the wheels.

We "invented' some hold down braces to keep the lip down as we worked our way around the tire.

Slow process locking down the 30 odd bolts on each wheel. Torquing 8ft/lbs, then 13ft/lbs, then 22 ft/lbs. Each time re checked 3 times. so had to go around nine times per wheel.

Looking great! Smart idea to number the beadlocks to properly torque them!

I was at RST yesterday.

Things are coming along nicely. Brackets are all welded in. Links are all made. I think the axle has to go back to some local shop for installation of outer bearings(?). Wyatt picks up my coilovers in the next few days. They have been produced months ago but Wyatt has simply not enough shop space to store them and was worried about them getting damaged while sitting somewhere in the shop. He is expanding to a second shop space next week so will be able to better accommodate all the parts and trucks he has. His business seems to be flourishing. There were a LOT of trucks there yesterday. Cool seeing so many solid axle toyotas..oh and one sick as Tacoma (Big Mikes) the slowest Taco on the planet, with all the reduction gearing, and also the custom patent pending front axle/suspension setup to run 40's on IFS!!

The axle tubes are enormous on my 4R!

Still holding hope that the Atlas case arrives next week. Looks like it might be a bit of a challenge getting all three sticks in a line so might end up going the way of the Steel Racing Hammers Race truck and have two side by side in the spare tray where the twin stocks are currently, and then the third shifter in the left side cup holder area. Apparently FJ cruisers have a different hump that allows for mounting all three sticks together, but not happening in the 4R.

Plan is to be ready for display at June 1 ToyotaFest of Long Beach. I doubt I will have a solution to fender flares at that stage. I intend to make my own - make a mold from expanding foam into a fiberglass shell, then make the flares from that, again out of fiberglass.. I have been watching a lot of videos on Your Tube - seems time consuming but they seem to be pretty straightforward. I don't want fiberglass fenders up front that have the big bulge design because there's no way to make the rears match without significant body work. I don't like the look of big fenders in the front and stock ones in the rear.

If I do good on my fiberglass fenders, which I intend to look similar to the commercially made ones, then I might start making sets for retail sales.

Great question.

Still need hydro steering installed, limit straps and one link needs to be bent to clear the sump on the V8. Probably need to change the location of the flange from the top cat on the passenger side to help with clearance of one link too. Also need so protection built underneath. Bolt in the driveshaft might help too. Bleed brakes...

The Atlas case has not arrived yet so that might have to wait until a later date.

4x4Labs is building the rear bumper so we are a few weeks out on that because I just ordered it.

SAS build is still a very customized process.
