truetrac, LSD, ATRAC, TRAC

I'm soooo tempted to go with the TruTrac just because it seems like a plug-n-play type of deal. Don't really have to worry about any extras to have it work. Plus it costs less.

OTOH, I wouldn't mind having OBA and that just begs for an ARB locker since it is just there anyway. Then you know it is 100% locked for sure.

Those 315s sure look pretty cool. I'm interested in your MPG as well. I've been reading a lot of Brian's posts about the 255/75R17 and 275/70R17 sizes and the GYSA tire specifically, and I'll probably go with one of those sizes in conjunction with whatever rear diff option I choose.

BTW - dual batteries are awesome. Finishing up the blue sea second fuse panel this weekend. Thanks again for fabbing up that mount.

The way it sits right now...
I'm down to 15mpg if I run 37psi +/-
which a ballance between mpg/wear/comfort

...the gear ratio is very well suited to the tire size even at highway speeds
and the performance off-road when in Low/Low is just what I was looking for

Side Note...
I have been more than impressed with these little brailles can't believe it's been almost a whole year with them
so far... no worries

I'm really considering giving East Coast Gear Supply (heard good things about them) a call and sending them my 3rd to install a Truetrac with my stock gears.

short answer.. AWESOME!!!
seemless engagement
both systems work great together...(an LSD should've been a factory option)

the ATRAC actually "spools-up" the truetrac and brings it to a near 100% lock!!!
both tires spin even if one is airborn (maximum lock i believe is 90% on the LSD)
the extra "push" is noticeable and you can EASE over obsticles
...even when fully articulated
requiring less momentum to climb up ledges and larger rocks

if you do the old school e-brake trick with the LSD+ATRAC
it is even better!!!!
only caution here is that it WILL push the truck like a locked axle
and steering can be a bit harder/less responsive
and the rearend can creep a little bit

if you are on a budget
or want an easier install
or complete auto engagement

LSD+ATRAC is a GREAT option!!!

Given I'm running an e-locker out back - how do you think a front helical LSD (+ATRAC) up front would work out?

I'm kinda thinking AWESOME haha.
