So, any update on this?

I'm suffering some similar symptoms: spongy feel on every engine start. Depress the brakes a few times, and the pedal firms up. The booster electric motor seems to run for several seconds, much longer than the ~2 seconds when I got it four years and 70k miles ago.

2005 Sport V8 4x4. RED, cloth seats, and no sunroof. Just the way I like it.

is it leaking at all? Sounds like the same problem I have. Booster pump is going out.

Id like to revive this thread as I am also curious as to what the solution was. Im experiencing the same issue.
