Very likely the O2 sensor, why it disables the VSC and TRAC is still a mystery to me.

Great. I just ordered the brake switch. It was only a $20 part so no biggie. I also looked at the oxygen sensors on-line and there's like four of them...left exhaust manifold, right exhaust manifold, "front pipe", and catalytic converter. Each one about $125. Replace 'em all?? Reading of the damaged manifolds issues, maybe I'll let the stealer do it so I can avoid the probable DIY nightmare.

Problem seems resolved and followed up here...

As an FYI for the future, O2 sensors had nothing to do with it and P0504 is a brake switch code and not an O2 code.

After my head gasket issue couple years ago I've still been dealing with these issues (CEL & VSC lights) coming off and on. Went to the stealer ship and they recommended I replace the ECM which I did and exact same issues still remain. Now going to replace all the O2 sensors and then AF sensors with Toyota parts hopefully that will do the trick. Reminder to myself to never go to the stealership for work unless it's under warranty. I now have a used ECM for 2005 V6 4Runner if anyone ever needs one.
