Default Hollister Hill run 12-5-2009

The RSHHR (Roxie Sammie Hollister Hills Run) Hollister Hills SVRA.

This park has something for everyone and a great place for folks to meet and have a good time.

Place:
Hollister Hills SVRA - Upper Ranch for 4x4s
7800 Cienega Rd, Hollister, CA, 95023
http://ohv.parks.ca.gov/default.asp?page_id=1179

Entrance fee is $5, payable at the Ranger Station, N36 46.121 W121 24.740.

Difficulty:
Easy to very difficult. There are 2 obstacle courses that can test the skill of vehicle and driver of all levels. Most roads are simple fire roads, and the group will leave the harder stuff as optional for those who choose to do it.

So all levels of trucks and drivers will have a good time (we hope).

Comms:
CB on channel 31
FRS channel 12
Ham Freq 146.460 MHz

Meeting:
People heading down from the north can meet up at Morgan Hill Safeway at 100 Tennant Ave 9:30-9:45 am. N37 6.831 W121 38.363

Alternatively the entrance gate for the Upper Ranch at 10:30-10:45 am N36 45.501 W121 23.839.

If you run late get a map from the Ranger Station, N36 46.121 W121 24.740, and you will probably find us at one of the obstacle courses early on.

Masa has offered to cater this meet to satisfy the cravings for his delicious sammies. See next post for the menu. Copy and paste for orders. Masa offered to do this for free, but I don't think that would be fair so I propose $10.00 a head for a samie, of your choosing, chips and soda, what say you all? That would include free delivery from San Francisco .

OMG, I just saw this thread!!!

Masa, I have wanted to try one of your sandwiches for a long time, looks like I now have a good reason. I'm soooo taking that weekend off!!! Might even persuade the wife to come out. She uuuhhh doesn't like the "bumpy" ride.

I had that Jeep thing... But I went to my local Toyota dealer, bought a 4Runner and it cleared that crap right up.

I believe it's the official language of the Republic of Fatfingers...

Yeah, Jon it would be good to spend more than 5 minutes like at Pismo. BTW, my mom waited for me for like an hour... It was cool though, she broke into my backyard and chilled out by the pool until I got home.
