Default 4th annual PPHHR, Saturday 10-23-2010, Hollister Hills SVRA

So another successful PPHHR, Post Pismo Hollister Hills Run.

Thanks to all that came out, hope you all had fun, even the rain that started after lunch did not seem to dampen the enthusiasm.

Started the day out at the old obstacle course, that has some new obstacles. The frame twister got a lot of attention, it was dry and easier to spot through. Masa took his 2X2 through without a stuck, good spotting and a little skinny pedal. I got the Taco through thanks to some more good spotting.

We spent a lot of time here and it carried us to Lunch time, picked a nice spot with some shade, the weather was good at this time:

Nine trucks, plus Pedram was there with his Rover friends and spent some time with us, so we had a 1st, 2nd a few 4th gens and a 5th gen a Tundra and a Taco:

Pedram giving his clutch a good work out, that finally gave out later in the day. This is another new obstacle and in the back ground one with huge tires:

Adelaide and I had a great time! Thanks for letting an older rig come and hang with you guys. This was Adelaide's first all day solo offroading trip, and this was probably the perfect group/place to do it. You guys stop and chat so much it gave Adelaide plenty of out of truck time. It was a great relaxing trip and was awesome to actually get to hang out and talk with friends and meet some new ones.

Lunch was awesome too!

Abu in the frame twister

Mark in the vnotch (or whatever that thing is called)

Adelaide in the vnotch

Masa playing video games on his phone

Had a little bit of carnage at the rock quarry. I busted one front turn signal on one rock, and then when we went to leave, ended up really busting the other front turn signal on the same rock and really tweaking my front bumper. I think I can untweak the bumper once I can get under there and loosen the bumper mount bolts and reposition it.

The other side is worse haha

The stair steps were very slick this time around, made for some un-nerving slipping and sliding, nuff said.

Mark made it without any drama:

Not only did Masa make it through the frame twister, but he also drove up through that slick mud to make it to the top at the end of the day.

Posin':

Andries thought there was too much symmetry:

Perfect in it's imperfection

Mike's 5th Gen. got a lot of attention and deservedly so, nicely modded, blacked out emblems, de badged, tinted windows riding on some 33MTs and lifted with the OW kit

So much fun! But everyone's rigs were way better, I have a long way to go though. I'll get my pics up later, the few that I took.

Jon they are actually considered a AT if you can believe that. Ha Ha

After posin' for a while we headed over to truck hill that was not in bad shape, Andries kindly went up first to check it out then a few of us gave it a go:

Abu:

Chris:

Vinhy, I think he forgot where his brakes were and flew down it, gave Masa quite a ride:

Here's a different perspective that almost shows how steep it is:

This is when it started to rain

Spent some time in the V notch:

Mark:

Chris, nice bit of flexin'

Mike had the biggest grin on his face:

We then headed up to the Quarry and I decided to get stuck:

Then quickly went up to Hector Heights to complete the day and to look at the clouds from above:
