Having trouble accessing the page, but a snorkel will definitely be good to have.

here's a copy of the post
Airflow America, the new distributor in the US for the well known Airflow Snorkels from Australia is looking for vehicles to develop new snorkels for the American market. They would like to give priority to the forum members if they are interested. There are two different categories in which you can help/benefit: CAT 1 : Free snorkel CAT 2: Snorkel at cost ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CAT 1: New Developments They need a vehicle for two days between March 17- March 20 or March 23-25 in Phoenix, AZ. They will make a mold of the surface to take it back to Australia to develop the snorkel. 2010 Toyota 4 Runner 2008-up Toyota Tundra 2005-up Toyota Tacoma 2010 Ford F250/350 2011 Grand Cherokee Approx. 3-6 months after, when the prototype comes in they need your vehicle for one whole day for fitment. You earned a snorkel and most likely you are the first one on the earth with one for your application. Your truck will be used for installation pictures. CAT 2: Snorkels are already on production but need to be installed in a US model to confirm fitment. You will get a great deal on these snorkels just to let them install it for you to see if the US version is compatible with the Australian one. Dates for these installations can be worked out with your schedule. KJ Jeep Liberty (Gas and Diesel) KK Jeep Liberty XJ Cherokee WJ 99-04 Grand Cherokee WK 05-10 Grand Cherokee 90-95 4 Runner 96-03 4 Runner To be considered for this opportunity, please contact Airflow at info@airflowamerica.com including a picture of your vehicle. Thanks for your help! |

I emailed them, too, and told them it would be a shame to neglect the 03-09 4Runner market, as they could have the chance to be the only product available. 100% market share isn't something to scoff at.

They replied back to me and indicated that they will be developing for the 4th gen, but they already have a test fit vehicle so that's why it's not on the list.

Would it help if we created a "will buy" list and tally the number of folks who will purchase one? Sounds like there is a fair amount of interest. I looked at their other offerings and they look good. I'm in.

I sent a request for a production order for these snorkels. Even offered to pre pay on order. I would like to have something in our store other than Safari Snorkels anyway. I will keep you updated on what I hear.
