Default 4Runner Factory Service Manual

OK here is the 4Runner Factory Service Manual for a 2003 model. It includes files for both V6 and V8, 2WD and 4WD as well. It is 58MB.

http://www.ezdries.net/Vidpics/4Runn...%204Runner.zip

Here is the 2006 4RUnner Manual for both V6 and V8 thx to jbs11 (Broc). They seem to have added a lot more info. Anyhow it is 200MB.

http://www.ezdries.net/Vidpics/4Runn...pairManual.zip

It is zipped so extract and preserve the directory structure. All files are in pdf, but you will notice some have a pdf.1 or other number behind. Just setup adobe Reader to read the .1, etc files as well.

Directories with the individual files for people who have a tough time downloading the large files.

2006

You will find some files/subdirectories are in weird places. Just keep looking till you find what you are looking for.

I still recommend that folks print the field repair pages and keep in their truck for emergencies. This is nice to have at home or laptop on the trial for cases when more info is needed, also nice to print the pages when working on the truck and then be able to toss them later with oil and grime on them.

Anyway enjoy.

Is this worth saving even though I have an 06? Are there enough similarities for it to actually help?

Thank you ,by the way.

For the purposes of working on the driveline/engine, suspension and 99% of the electrical systems the 03-08 is the same. So yes it will help you a lot.

Even though Toyota made some changes to the engine like VVTi for the V8, it is still pretty much the same unless you work on the camsshaft. Emission equipment is also slightly different (4 cats vs 3). Then newer models no longer have a tranny dipstick, they added TPMS and a few other goodies. However the base is still the same.

If you need to overall your engine it might be worthwhile to get the VVTi V8 engine pages, but otherwise there is very little difference in most of the vehicle from a service/repair point of view.

I have the 06 manual (downloaded from TIS before they changed the site). If someone has a place to host it I can zip it and e-mail it.
