Default Moog LBJ?

So I've had a squeal that I tracked down to my LBJ, I'll be replacing that as soon as I can. But it seems like a ton of the 3rd Gen guys had major issues with the Moog LBJs failing quickly, which is a huge safety concern: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-ge...e-my-turn.html

Apparently that's a different setup though, and I've seen a few posts here that don't seem to have issues with the Moog LBJ. I can't find Toyota's part number for just the LBJ, probably because they replace the whole LCA when the LBJ goes bad.

Has anybody had issues running the Moog LBJ, or you have a part number for the OEM part?

No problem with mine. Had them for several years now. Not sure if the 5th gen is the same as the 4th for the part

Moog part number is K500017

Awesome, thank you! I saw your write up, that will be extremely helpful.
I think it should be the same part, but it looks like the LCA itself has a slightly different part number so I'll have to double check. Moog's website only shows the entire LCA assembly for the 5th gen, and not just an LBJ. I'm emailing them to find out.

Ditto on the 4th gen Moog LBJ, no problems at all yet except taking out the factory ones (PITA)

I have almost 100k miles on my Moog LBJs. I need to replace both front lower control arms entirely now, because the LBJs are wearing and the control arms bushings at the frame themselves are shot.

Thanks guys. I'm waiting to hear back from Moog to see if the 4th gen part will fit the 5th gen.

Out of all the aftermarket BJ's I choose Moog - just did my lower BJ's with the problem solvers, and did SPC/Lightning racing upper arm's at the same time.

I have pushed Moog's VERY hard in the past - and on my 92 and 95 I ran BJ spacers with Moog's which put more stress on them - no issues with some Airborne offroad landings as well.
