Looks like my radiator has sprung a leak where the plastic side tank joins the aluminum body. Anyone have any replacement recommendations? Preferably something 100% welded aluminum.

I looked at this CSF radiator but ended up getting another factory radiator.

Thanks, John. Why did you decide on the factory one?

Well the original had lasted 16+ years and it was slightly less expensive. Did not know if the all aluminum version would pose any install issues like reduced clearance between it and the pulleys. I'm sure it would have all been good and just chose the one that I had experience with. I did really like the thought of the all aluminum unit though.
By the way I did put in an all aluminum radiator in my 89 pickup. No experience with it yet.

I ended up going with factory as well, couldn't find an all-aluminum one that I didn't have questions about.

The factory one worked well for many years and I think it is still a good choice.

Not on any of our 4Runners, but a couple years ago I replaced the radiator on our LX with factory. Like the others, I figured if the factory radiator lasted 15 yrs why get anything else, especially if saving $ by my doing it DIY. I repalced thermostat and upper/lower hoses w/OEM too.

I did it this weekend, also did the upper/lower hoses and thermostat. Took me a bit of extra time because every damn hose clamp was facing the wrong way! I need to get one of those flexible ratcheting hose clamp tools. I did manage it without removing the fan, which is good because I don't have a fan clutch tool to hold it. Fan shroud was also broken at both its connection points, but luckily I still had the one from my wrecked '04. Hope to get another 210K miles out of this one!
