Shaver Lake August 2016
Man what a weekend! Thanks Jeffy for initiating this year's trip and getting the planning thread going. I also want to thank everyone else for an awesome time. It really is the company that makes this trip great. Below are the photos that Joann took. The album may be a little biased to a certain 4Runner
 but there are a good amount of shots of everyone. Below are just some highlights. I'll be putting together some of the video I have also in the next couple days. Full Album Chatting while we air down before Strawberry Lake Trail.  Quick first stop cause of our small bladders lol   Got plenty of close up of trees on this trail   Chris's 4th gen   Some close ups   Adam's 3rd gen  Stirling and his Jeep flying through with the manual transmission.     Some more favorites    Stop 2 at the frog pond?   Hey Adam  A little rocky  More tight trees   John's 4th gen blazing through the trail.

The facelift headlights look really good with the older style bumper imo.
      Finally at Strawberry Lake!  Chatted up these guys and their awesome rig while we were there.   Jeffy and Sam  Joann taking in the view  After that we made our way down, noticeably slower than the first time around. Heres a shot at the end of Strawberry trail  Some camp shots  Dinner!    And a bonus shot driving over Courtright Dam.

nice picture Bryant. Look like a great time. Wish I could have join you guys on Strawberry Lake trail however it looks a little too much for a stock 4runner. Will have to save that trip when I get a mild lift on.

First thanks Jeffy for getting this trip started. Had a great time as usual when out in the mountains. It was good to see a some familiar faces and to meet a few new ones.
Adam and I went up a couple of days early and camped at Huntington Lake. The following day we drove up Kiaser Pass road to the White Bark vista at the north end of the Dusy Ershim trail. We also drove up to Florence lake for a hike part way around the lake. We then headed to the Mono hot springs area to hike to Doris and Tule lakes. Thursday night we made the 2 hour drive from Huntington to Trapper Springs camp site at Courtright dam to meet up with the group. I need to look at what pictures I took and will post them later.

A little something from the Bald Mountain Run on Friday. Hope you guys like it. Had a great time. The group was small which had it's plusses. The Heep guys were allright and took my crap in stride. Really missed the old timers but it's always nice to see some fresh faces on the trail. Did Strawberry Lake on Saturday. It was pretty challenging, the sliders got a workout on the rocks and the trees. I did not take any pics but Joann has a whole bunch and maybe some video... Courtright was a great campsite but a bit far away. I will try and get something a bit more centralized to the Shaver area for next year. And finally... I know someone is going to post up the Bacon Bomb video!!!.... BTW, MODS The youtube embed function is completely broken. All youtube videos on this forum are black boxes including the tutorial in the faq on how to embed videos. Please fix...

Chris: Youtube plugin should be fixed now. A few changes since 2008; Youtube changes, no longer need the plugin for modern browsers, etc.

nice video Bryant. So a stock 4runner would have a tough time making it through it looks like...?
I might have to plan a trip to Brewer Lake or back to Voyager Rock sometime next month.
