Call Luke and tell him you are interested in the tables he put on Phil's bumper. Even if you don't buy both tables now, he can still weld on the parts needed and you can always buy the other table later.

How come you guys opted for the spare on the left? (because of blind spot on the right I'm assuming?). Seems to me with the weight of the driver, gas tank and the wheel its a lot of weight on the driver side.
With my 37" on the rear, on a center mounted carrier, I have precious little rear view out the back window so I use the side mirrors all the time (almost exclusively). With my upcoming 40" I expect that to be even worse! I asked too late to have the spare mounted on the right side. Sure the gas cans will go on the right to balance out the weight a bit, but I don't carry gas cans except when wheeling. Wyatt has tried to estimate the weights and flexed the suspension with some dummy weight but I am sure I'm going to need different springs left and right to manage all the weight on the left side. Thoughts?

Whats the instal time when not having to weld?
Did anyone weld the new bumper to the frame rails for extra security/strength? I know that was done on Abu's 4R.

I think most put it in the left for a little better visibility but to be honest it’s going to block like 75% of the view. I had mine off for a week and I couldn’t believe how nice it was to be able and see out of the window again! Haha
You can also opt to have it in the center and do single can holder on each swing out and side.

I guess I’ll roll with it this way for now and if it’s not working out when I try to balance out the weight and suspension then I might have to look at a different coil for the drivers side rear. Sigh. Thx for your thoughts ![]()

Mark, I know Luke is a pretty stand up guy. If he thinks a 40” tire might be a bit to much weight in the center then I would go with his suggestion.
Would prefer it on the drivers side anyway. I added a 1” spacer on the drivers side to try to account for the lean ever since I started Pandora’s box 10 years ago lol. Kept it with the new coils too. You going to run coilovers in the rear ? That would be best! Then you can crank a hair to account for the lean. Bobby

Later maybe. My concern wont be so much the ride height being lower on one side because of all the weight, but the ability of the shocks to work evenly on compression and extension so that it doesn't end up all mushy on one side. Well we will see

Mark, I don’t notice one side feeling softer than the other due to the added weight but I’m on 315/75R16’s.
These rear bumpers are pretty hefty. Another thought is King compression adjusters ! Bobby

Just sent a PM. I would get a full-size truck. Might be able to get it in the Runner unwrapped. The shell and swing arms is like 200 lbs so it’s heavy.
