Default 07-08-2007 Anniversary Narrows

Went out with the NV TTORA group today to Anniversary Narrows. Easy wheeling with one fun obstacle. Pictures never do it justice. Also hiked a slot canyon. That was fun. saw a dead scorpion. Went down by the lake (Lake Mead) and saw some Bbighorn sheep coming down from the mountatin to drink water. Had a great time.

Looks like fun. How hot was it? Thought Vegas was burning up this past week.

Great Shots! Thanks for sharing...

Seeing that all my favorite trucks were out there (4runner,FJ & Tacoma), how did they compare?

It was very hot. But when you live in Vegas you have your choice of staying indoors or facing the oppressive heat. Since I am not a big fan of staying indoors I find myself outdoors in the heat.

Regarding which truck outperforms the others, I think they all perform well, each with their own strengths. Everybody was able to take all the obstacles. What I have found both on this trip and others that the driver is a much more important part of the equation than the truck. Of course there are exceptions. Some really trick trucks can just go where others canít. But given moderately modified trucks of different makes I think it comes down to the driver and the line taken.

Great having you out with us once again Ed.....

We had fun yesterday, sorry more people couldn't come along.

But, the 6 of us who did, had a good time. It was a little hot, but once you were inside the truck with the AC, it was nice and cold!!

Me, Dennis & Susan, ED, J.P., and Hector took a nice hike up the Narrows and back, and I got my yearly exercise!

Peace!!!

Here's my pictures..........You knew they were coming!!!!! ENJOY!!!
