Default Big Sur and Los Padres - Winter 2016

Last Monday, Todd, Mike, and I went exploring in Big Sur and Los Padres National Park. We originally wanted to camp out on Prewitt Ridge, but we arrived at night, it was windy, and we were honestly just tired and hungry for some beer (and food). After driving back and fourth on the single lane dirt road, we stumbled across a nice campsite off of Nacimiento Road, which we would call home for the next two nights.

After breakfast on Tuesday, we explored the Coast Ridge Trail and enjoyed the sunset from a nice lookout.

Back at camp, we drank some more, ate well, and slept through the frigid night.

During our stay at the campsite, a well filled creek was rushing in the background.

On Wednesday, Todd headed home and Mike and I did some more exploring on Coast Ridge Road before settling in at another campsite.

It was a great trip and I look forward to doing it again this year. Happy trailing!

This was a great fun quick trip. It was quite cold the first two nights. Camp sites were great. Would go for a quick trip down there again.

The Chef at work

And Chef AJ's amazing breakfast sandwiches

Truck did get a little dirty

Until the next trip.
